Job Description
Job Title:
Automotive Technician, C/B level tech or General Service + /Under Car Tech.
Location:
1826 Memorial Blvd. Murfreesboro, TN 37129
Job Overview:
We are looking for technicians who are energetic, upbeat, and have a positive attitude. The technicians we are looking for have to seek out solutions to tough problems with a strong passion for doing what's right for our guests.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- General Service Technicians / Mechanics perform all maintenance and repair services including but not limited to; oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, suspension alignments, suspension repair, brake replacements, and more.
- Perform safety and general inspections
- Work as part of a team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively
- Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections
- Ensure all preventive maintenance reports are complete and accurate
- Comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA right-to-know
- Assist in all housekeeping functions as directed by Management
- Work closely with the service department and effectively communicate the extent of any damage or malfunctions on a guest's vehicle
- Follow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Current driver’s licenses
- Previous automotive experience required
- Skills & Knowledge of the following: lube and fluid flush experience, tire rotation, brake replacement, alignments, and basic automotive maintenance
- This position provides the opportunity to learn and work with highly skilled technicians
- We would prefer a high school or equivalent diploma, but this is not required
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds
- Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
- Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair
- Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand-tools
- Walk/stand for the majority of the workday
- Drive manual transmission vehicles
- Keeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment
- Efficiently navigate a computer
